The brief:
LHA-ASRA is a leading housing and regeneration organisation aiming to build better homes, better communities and better lives for its residents. We were tasked with preparing and implementing an overarching communications strategy to influence stakeholders, local authorities, communities, suppliers, partners, residents and the media.
The approach:
We devised an extensive communications strategy encompassing annual reports, tenant newsletters, crisis management, media training and media relations, and worked with key personnel at all levels to help deliver the strategy.
To help manage the inevitable crisis, we devised crisis strategies and management, along with a programme of media training sessions for LHA-ASRA personnel, while working with employees at every level of the business to identify ‘good news’ stories about developments, support schemes and refurbishment. These were successfully developed and brokered to national, regional and housing sector media - as well as to partner stakeholders through corporate collateral.
In addition, we oversaw a business-critical Group-wide rebranding exercise, from start to finish.
The result:
Seven years on, we remain an integral partnership agency for LHA-ASRA. Daily news coverage demonstrates the impact of the proactive media relations programme we carry out on the organisation’s behalf, be it comment opportunities, profile raising, community-led initiatives or our crisis support. We also produce vital stakeholder collateral including financial advice guides, tenant newsletters and annual reports to ensure that all parties are kept abreast of the organisation’s progress.
